Just Sayin

Happy many years ahead of us

Through the years, some things just do not change. Like the way you tap your fingers while you sing a song; like how you play with your beard when you try to focus and think; and like how you always buy me that Hershey’s Chocolate bar every time you go to 711.

It’s amazing how you still manage to listen even to my overly repeated stories. And without fail, you always provide me with the warmth I need during rainy days. Perhaps, it could be scary at times knowing you know me too well. You know when I’m tired, irritable, and when I’m hungry. A man who could spell the difference between those seemingly similar sentiments is a keeper!

Life is indeed fun and exciting knowing you’ll always be my partner in everything. As you continue with your internship, just hang in there my love. After all, it only gets better and sweeter, my Hana.

Dawn Talks (Series), Exciting Stories

anti-fringe movement

Happiness overload: not that I am actually jumping right now but because I have chosen to be happy today. Gone all the bitterness and irritation in the world!

Sometimes great views are hindered by personal reasons. That shouldn’t be. So for today, instead of being hateful and irritated, I choose to be happy! Happiness, is not just a disposition, I suppose. It’s also a matter of choice. And a matter of right. We all should let go of long term insecurities and live life to its fullest. 😀

Gurl, you should seriously quit all the drama in the world. Taylor’s right! Haters gonna hate. Players gonna play. I’m just gonna shake shake shake that frappe AND COLLECT STICKERSSS!!!! Hi hi hi

And speaking of ice blended frappes, Abert and I are busy collecting these stickers from Seattle’s Best Coffee just to get their planner. We are imploring deceit here by convincing some of our friends to have frappe amid the typhoon Ruby last week. Hi hi hi Hashtag Desperate.

And I have decided to jump into a sudden impulse of cutting my hair for some fringes that until now I am still in the stage of regret. We should never read articles from Women’s Health in the middle of the night, when we’re bored, with scissors beside us. Never!

Dawn Cooks, Project Thankful

They loved my sambo, and I love their sneaking in to get some!

Last night at PAW CHRISTMAS PAWRTY, I admit. I wasn’t in the right state of mind. Haha! Having to cook the whole night before and the whole morning yesterday while studying for the last night’s oral recits can sometimes make a sane being go near being insane.

Whew! What can I say? Last night was a crazy night! Crazy night at the kitchen and crazy night for Jesus freaks! I am thankful to God for using us all in bringing many souls near Him! Through the years, I have seen God work at PAW nyts. And it brings so much gladness and excitement in my heart as more and more college students come to know Jesus more and more. I am glad I get to be part of something like this, something grand for our MAJESTY.

So, last night, snacks committee (of which i am a member of) prepared our very own version of chao fan topped with egg bits paired with black sambo for desserts. I wanted to pick a classy name for the main dish but I cant think of any. Lol

Our committee of three fine ladies consists of 2 working girls (Jovie and Joy, i like to call them babes or bebes) and 1 student (yes, that’s me. The only non-earning member of the team.) Most of the time, we get every muscle that we need from PAW nyt staff. Thank you boys.

So whenever we need extra funds, every one has to shell out personal money except me. Hahaha

So you can guess who has to be available to do all the cooking?

After everyone has eaten what we served, my heart melted for joy for every compliment we got. I am glad I can bring back the glory to God who deserves them all. 😉 even tho twas my first time to cook chao fan and black sambo (thanks to google and to my friends for the tips by the way) I am happy they all liked it.

I think a lot of them loved my black sambo more. Every time I am out of the serving table, they would sneak in to get more of the sambo! Hahahaha Sorry if I was too strict with that last night. I was just a little bit worried that others might not get some, but I have to tell you my heart was leaping for every sight of you guys sneaking in. 😉 I hope i can feed you all to your heart’s content, soon. Hehe

I am still waiting for the photos so for those who have asked me about the recipe for the black sambo, I will surely post it here some time in the future. 😉 promise!

TODAY, I AM THANKFUL TO JESUS FOR EVERYTHING THAT HAD TRANSPIRED LAST NIGHT. For the Jesus Freaks, the noise, the stress, the cooking experience, for the sneaking in, for the thumbs up you guys gave me (those thumbs ups belong to GOD alone) and for everything!!!

My heart is humbled by Your Majesty and provision. Please use us forever! 😉

Dawn Talks (Series), People @ CHURCH

Dawntalks about: People at church

I have observed that some people become entirely different when they’re on stage and when they’re not.

I wonder why he smiles a lot and act as if he’s the jolly and happy person while leading the worship; but frowns most of the time when he’s off the stage. On stage, he’s the person who affirms the truth that God is good –all the time and that God is our peace and comfort. But when it comes to the usual fellowship times, he’s the silent, non-talker, super quite, always frowning person who prefers to sit at the back of the rows.

I was just wondering that perhaps if we ought to tell others that our God is a good God all the time, then we have to show IT, practically, all the time! For how on earth will others know that we serve a constant God if for a short span of time, our mood easily swings and we become almost unapproachable after wearing off the friendly smile?

i HOPE he smiles a lot more next time we see each other 😀
